Trapping rats is a long established method of rat control. It avoids the use of rat poison and produces the rat live which can then be released away from your home and safely back into wildlife. If you use rat poison within a building there is a risk that the rat may die in an inaccessible area and the dead rodent smell is not something to be toyed with!, not only this but the thought of harming animals is often a horrid thought.
